Inspiration for the “Dark Mocha,” a Fall 2020 release, is culled from one of the most popular sneaker collaborations of 2019—Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 collection. Though unlike the rapper’s take on the Jordan 1, this “Dark Mocha” iteration features smooth black leather overlays on the forefoot, eyelets, and toe cap. White leather appears on the mid-panel, collar, and perforated toe. Classic black leather Swoosh branding dots the mid-panel and a black “Wings” logo is placed on the brown suede collar. Additional brown suede detailing is located on the heel. A white nylon tongue, black cotton laces, and black “Nike Air” on the tongue tab finish off yet another desirable signature shoe in Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan collection. The Dunk's 2020 resurgence harkens to the model's early-to-mid-aughts heyday when Nike SB's abstract creativity was at its peak. As for this shoe, the upper displays a thermochromic finish that changes color when heated. Displaying a black leather base when the sneaker is room temperature, an assortment of colors from the heat map appear after a few minutes of activity and wear. Additional styling points include fiery red cotton laces, a black nylon puffy tongue with a yellow digi Swoosh branding, and yellow Nike embroidery on the heel. Release date: Summer 2020. A tribute to Michael Jordan’s all-time classic signature shoe, this “Chicago” Dunk is almost a spitting image of the Jordan 1 Low. The two distinctly retro silhouettes are a product of Nike’s mid-80s performance basketball footwear campaign. The skate-adjacent Dunk features a white leather perforated toe with white leather mid-panel walls. Fiery red leather overlays dot the forefoot, eyelets, and heel. Branding appears in the form of a black leather Swoosh on either side of the shoe, tonal “Nike” embroidery on the heel, and white accenting Nike SB detailing on the red nylon tongue tag. Given that this is the skateable version of the Dunk, the shoe displays a puffy white mesh tongue for impact absorption. Finishing touches include black cotton laces and a two-toned white midsole and red outsole. Release date: Fall 2020. The shoe was originally seen on-foot of Hiroshi Fujiwara earlier this year (shown below) featuring a clean White leather upper paired with Black smooth leather overlays replacing the traditional elephant print. Fragment’s lightning bolt logo on the translucent heels with “AIR” branding atop a White rubber sole completes the design. Dressed in a Baroque Brown, Black, Laser Orange, and Racer Pink color scheme. This Air Jordan 1 is inspired by Japan’s fast-paced capital city featuring a suede build with leather appearing on the Blue toe. Pink liner and branding tongue label, Orange tongues atop a Mint Green midsole and Black rubber outsole completes the design. Dressed in a similar color blocking to 2018’s Union x Air Jordan 1 collab in a mix of White, Black, Light Smoke Grey, and Varsity Red. This Air Jordan 1 features a White leather upper with Grey suede overlays, a Red leather collar and Black Swoosh logos on the sides. A White midsole atop a Black rubber outsole completes the design.
