As Jordan Brand‘s Air Jordan 1 Mid continues to grow in stature, the Jumpman continues to experiment with its materials and build — and one of the latest results of this experimentation is a pair with heat reactive detailing. Combining a crisp, classic base with a vibrant, unique rear half, it’s an optimal blend of old and new that helps put the mid-cut Air Jordan 1 on more level ground with other models in the Air Jordan lineup.Heels, collar flaps and tongue tags alike are all coated in a heat-reactive material that shifts shades from blue to yellow and green in response to light and temperature. Though this is undeniably striking, the rest of the design is all business thanks to a white toebox and quarter panels plus a black mudguard, eyestays and Swooshes, all atop a timeless leather build. Extra branding is supplied by a white nylon tongue plus ball-and-wings and Jumpman logos on the aforementioned collar flaps and tongue tag, respectively. Down below, white midsoles and black outsoles finalize the look.
